On the 11th Day of the 11th Month at 11am, 2018 a Remembrance Day ceremony was held at Eastbury Farm School to mark the 100 years since the end of Great War. It was a touching and heartfelt ceremony conducted with dignity and decorum as it should be to remember millions of Soldiers and support staff who gave their lives so that the future generations can live their lives freely in peace, love and harmony. A Hundred years have passed since World War One which was said to have been a war to end all wars. The sacrifices made are unimaginable and we remember the lost souls and pray for them so that they may rest in peace.
ERA Chairman Barney (Bhupendra) Patel attended the Ceremony with his wife Shiela (Kaushalya) Patel and he laid a wreath on behalf of the local residents. The ceremony was very well organised and on behalf of Eastbury Residents Association, Barney would like to express his grateful thanks to Roger Cook as well as Helen Wilkinson.
